Born and raised in Helena, I live in House District 79 with my wife, Virginia, an author and teacher at Helena College. Our daughters, Hannah and Margot, both attend the University of Montana in Missoula. I work as a software engineer and data analyst, and when the sun is shining, I love to backpack, camp, float, and ski.

I am ultimately very proud of what we accomplished during the 2025 session — renewal of Medicaid expansion, significant increases to public education funding, and substantial property tax reductions for residential homeowners and long-term rentals. We protected public lands and a nonpartisan judicial system. We made Montana a better, more affordable place for everyone.

During the session, I served on the House Appropriations and House Ethics committees and passed legislation to increase public education funding and improve access to federal grants. In the interim, I serve on the School Funding Interim Commission, along with interim appropriations committees and the rural broadband funding commission. My focus is always practical: results that improve daily life for Helenans — strong schools, fair taxes, accessible healthcare, accountable government, and protection of the public lands and rights we share.

I am eager to engage with the residents of House District 79 to understand their priorities for the next legislative session. I believe we can protect the quality of life we cherish in Helena and work toward an even better Montana in the future.
